The Highlander was established in 1979 by David and Celia Drakeley. In its 35+ years of operation, it has developed a reputation of being "North Augusta's living room". It has withstood the test of time, and remains to this day the CSRA's longest running British pub. On any night of the week one could have walked in and felt like they were immediately considered to be a regular. The Drakeleys have since passed the torch to a new group of owners who are just as dedicated. The faces may have changed, however things that remain constant are the caliber of the service, the quality of the experience, and the desire to come back the next day for a cold pint and hot food.
Who We Are
The Highlander consists of a local group of owners in North Augusta who have no other interests than bringing back what has been, and what will always be "North Augusta's living room"!
